INVITATION: CONSULTATION OF THE DRAFT NATIONAL LABOUR MIGRATION POLICY AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES BILL

The Department of Employment and Labour in the Western Cape Province hereby invites you, to participate in a briefing session on the draft National Labour Migration Policy and Employment Services Amendment Bill.

The purpose of this briefing is to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to make inputs on the draft bill and policy, to seek clarity where necessary.

Employment and Labour Minister, Thulas Nxesi, launched the NLMP and Employment Services Bill on the 28^th February 2022. The gazette has been published for 90 days, from March to May 2022. The public hearings seek to ensure that the public is sufficiently consulted and in turn, assist to improve the governance and management of labour migration in the country.

The draft Bill and Policy can also be accessed on the department’s website: www.labour.gov.za.
