VERIFICATION AND APPLICATION OF INDIGENT SUBSIDY FOR A THREE YEAR PERIOD ENDING 30 JUNE 2024

Please take note that all approved indigent applicants will be verified. New applications will also be accepted for indigent to be implemented for the rest of the 2021-2024 indigent period ending 30 June 2024. The Municipality will provide assistance at the venues outlined and on the dates stated below.

NOTE: This is only verification/new application applicable on the current 3 year cycle ending 30 June 2023. The new indigent campaign for the new cycle 01/07/2024 till 30/06/2027 will only start during the month of April 2024. Then the public needs to re-apply for the mentioned cycle.

Qualification criteria

  • Applicable to households on residential property
  • Own only one property
  • Only the accountholder may apply
  • Full-time occupant of the residential property or where the registered owner is unable to occupy the property
  • Joint household income must not exceed R4 190.00 per month

  • Voltydse inwoner van die perseel wees of as die geregistreerde eienaar nie die eiendom kan bewoon nie
  • Gesamentlike huishoudelike inkomste mag nie R4 190.00 per maand oorskry nie

  • Copy of ID and birth certificates of everyone staying on the property
  • Proof of income of everyone staying on the property, i.e. pay slips, bank statements or an affidavit for unemployment or self employed
  • Latest municipal account
