NOTICE OF SESSIONS OF VALUATION APPEAL BOARD TO HEAR APPEALS IN RESPECT OF GENERAL VALUATION ROLL FOR THE FINANCIAL YEARS 2021 – 2026: DATE OF VALUATION 02 JULY 2020

Notice is hereby given in terms of the Section 57 of the Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004, that the sessions of the Valuation Appeal Board to hear any valid appeal against the decision of the Valuer in respect of the valuation roll for the financial years 2021 – 2026, will take place from

11 – 12 October 2021 at 09:00 – 13:00 at the Robertson Municipal Offices (Council Chambers), Church Street

and from 13 – 14 October 2021 at 09:00 – 13:00 at Montagu Municipal Offices (Old Council Chambers), Piet Retief Street.

Applications are invited from deserving applicants to apply for grants in aid in terms of the Municipality’s Grant in Aid Policy.

The following categories are eligible for Grant-In-Aid:

  1. Solid Waste (Cleansing)
  2. Social Development
  3. Youth, Sports and Recreation
  4. Environment

Only applications on the prescribed form, that is obtainable from the Municipal Offices, will be considered.  Applicants must please consult Council’s Grant in Aid policy for completeness.  This policy is also available from all Municipal Offices.  Completed application forms, together with all the required documents including business plans or motivation, must be clearly marked, “Grant-in-Aid Application” and mailed or delivered to the address below.  Organisations that have received grants in the past from the Municipality must ensure that audited financial statements are included. 

The closing date is Friday 18 29 October 2021.  No late applications will be considered.
