pdf HUGUENOT TUNNEL NIGHT CLOSURE

1507 downloads

The Huguenot Tunnel will be closed to ALL TRAFFIC between 22:00 and 06:00 Mon – Thur (10pm and 6am) from 14 June 2021 - 30 September 2021

These closures will enable SANRAL to perform vital improvements to the safety systems of the tunnel and are timed to minimise inconvenience to valued road users.

While there are several alternative routes, the Huguenot Tunnel remains the quickest and most convenient. To avoid unnecessary delays and detours, plan your trip to avoid travel during the days and times of the closures.

To avoid unnecessary delays we urge you to plan your route to avoid travel through the tunnel between 22:00 and 06:00 Mon-Thur OR consider using alternative routes.

The shortest alternative route is via the Du Toitskloof Pass and will add an additional 15 minutes (normal traffic) to your journey.
