Langeberg Municipality request bidders to supply a bid for the UPGRADING AND REHABILITATION OF WATER NETWORKS; ASHTON, BONNIEVALE, ROBERTSON AND MONTAGU

A compulsory clarification meeting will be held on FRIDAY 27 November 2020 at 10:00 in the Langeberg Municipal Offices, 52 Church Street, Robertson after which the sites will be visited. Bidders that fail to attend the compulsory clarification meeting will be disqualified. A representative may only represent one tenderer at this meeting.

Bids may only be submitted on the bid documentation provided by the municipality and must remain valid for 90 days after bid closing. It is estimated that tenderers will need a CIDB grading designation of 4CE.

“Only goods, works and services with the minimum threshold as applicable to local production and content will be considered.”

The lowest, only or any bid shall not necessarily be accepted and the Council reserves the right to accept any part of the bid.

TENDERS TO BE DEPOSITED IN: The tender box of Langeberg Municipality, 28 Main Road, Ashton.  The tender box is open from Mondays until Fridays from 08:15 until 16:00. This excludes weekends and public holidays.

NOTE: This tender will be evaluated in terms of the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017 that was promulgated by the Minister of Finance on 20 January 2017 in Government Gazette No 40553. Please take note of the responsiveness criteria as stipulated in the tender document.

Tenders are hereby requested for the Rehabilitation of filters at Montagu Water Treatment Works (design and construct) as specified in the tender document.

Sealed tenders in envelopes clearly marked: Tender 07-2020  Rehabilitation of filters  at Montagu Water Treatment Works (design and construct) should be placed in the tender box, at the Municipal Offices, 28 Main Road, Ashton not later than 12:00 on 06 November 2020.

Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a class of construction works and have a grading designation equal to or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with regulation 25 (7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004. It is estimated that tenderers will need a grading designation of ME4 OR higher.

Tender documents can be downloaded from  www.langeberg.gov.za or collected on request from Mrs A Mouries between 08h00 – 16h30 as from 19 October 2020 at Langeberg Municipal Offices, 23 Faure Street, Ashton.
