Tenders are hereby requested for the electrification of 172 formal houses at Nkqubela at Robertson as specified in thebid document. Completed Bids, in sealed envelopes, clearly marked “TENDER NO. 06/2022: ELECTRIFICATION OF 172 FORMAL HOUSES AT NKQUBELA, ROBERTSON,” should be placed in the tender box, at the LangebergMunicipal Office, 28 Main Road, Ashton, not later than 12:00 on Friday, 11 March 2022 when the Bids will be opened inpublic.
Late, faxed or e-mailed tenders will not be considered.Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a class of construction works and have a grading designationequal to or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined inaccordance with regulation 25 (7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004. It is estimated that tenderers will need a grading designation of 3 EP or higher. A minimum functional assessment score of 60 points will apply to this contract.
PLEASE NOTE:The official Bid document must be fully completed in black ink in writing and bound.Supporting documents must be submitted separately and must be stapled or bound.Only goods and services applicable to local production and content will be considered.
Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2011 (Regulation 9. (1) and 9. (3) make provision for the promotion of localproduction and content. Local production content applicable to designated sectors of construction.Only goods, works and services with a stipulated minimum threshold as applicable for local production andcontent will be considered.
The South African Bureau of Standards approved, Technical Specification Number(SATS 1286:2011) will be used to calculate local content.Supply only locally produced goods meeting the following minimum threshold for local production and content:
Designated Hardware Components – 100%
Cables used for power transmission – 90%
Steel Pipe fittings and Specials: Galvanized – 100%
The lowest, or any tender, will not necessarily be accepted and council reserves the right to accept any tender.
Tenders will be evaluated according to the Council’s Supply Chain Management Policy and the 80/20 Preference Point system.
