BEAT THE HEAT AT THE ROBERTSON POOL THIS SUMMER

The Robertson Swimming Pool is open and ready to welcome hundreds of visitors this summer. With plenty of lawn space to unwind, picnic, and fire up a braai, it’s the perfect spot to cool down. The pool features braai areas available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Capacity for the venue tops out at 850 people, so arriving early is your best bet to avoid possible disappointment.

Operating Hours & Fees
The pool is open from 10:00 to 18:00, Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 to 18:00 on Sundays. Entrance fees are R39.22 for adults and R26.50 for children per day. Frequent visitors can snag a season pass for R535.00 or a monthly ticket for R317.00.

Safety & Security
Pool staff and temporary workers are on-site to manage crowd control, monitor access, and prevent unauthorised entry. For added peace of mind, registered security services will be on duty during peak season (15 December 2024 to 15 January 2025). However, please note that lifeguards are not provided, and swimming is at your own risk. Following staff instructions is key to ensuring everyone’s safety, especially during busy weekends and holidays.

Parental Responsibility
Parents and guardians must always supervise young children while they swim. Stay vigilant, particularly when the pool is packed. Report any suspicious or harmful activity to the pool staff immediately.

A Few Simple Rules
For a smooth experience, take a moment to familiarise yourself with the pool's depth levels and facility rules. Remember, only proper swimwear is allowed—no jeans, T-shirts, or underwear in the pool.

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ALLOWED:
• No alcohol is allowed on the premises (please report to swimming pool staff).
• No unnecessary or excessive noise is permitted.
• No pushing people in and around the pool or engaging in any harmful activity around the pool or premises that may cause injury to others.
• No running around the pool.
• No rough playing on the premises.
• No diving into the shallow side of the pool.
• No ball playing on the premises of the facility.
• No balls or bottles allowed in the pool.
• No food or drinks allowed in the pool.
• Do not swim alone (always inform someone).
• Do not use the pool as a toilet.
• Do not swim if your stomach is upset or if you have a skin or respiratory infection.

ALWAYS DO THE FOLLOWING:
• Report any bad behaviour.
• Report vandalism.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Call for help if you notice someone drowning.
• Be considerate of others and your surroundings.
• Look out for yourself and other swimmers.
• Always swim within your ability.
• Check the depth where you can comfortably swim.
• Shower before you swim.
• Wear appropriate sunscreen protection.
• Have fun and be safe.
