LANGEBERG MUNICIPAL OPERATING HOURS WILL CHANGE

As from Monday, 04 September 2023 the Langeberg Municipal office hours will change as indicated below.

The Langeberg Municipal senior management initiated a process with the approval from Council to make changes to the municipal operational hours for staff to start work 15 minutes earlier at 07:45 on weekdays in order to close offices at 15:15 on Friday afternoons. 

The process entailed engagements with the labour representative unions, as well as non-union members with a favourable outcome.

New operating hours will be as follows:

• Mondays – Thursdays 07:45 – 16:30 (Lunch 12:45 - 13:15)
• Fridays 07:45 – 15:15 (Lunch 12:45 - 13:15)

In compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, lunch will start at 12:45 and end at 13:15 on Mondays to Fridays.  

Cashier points:
On Fridays the municipal cashier desks will close at 14:45 and the traffic cashier desks will close at 14:00.

Libraries:
Libraries will also close at 15h15 on Fridays.
