LANGEBERG MUNICIPALITY WARNS OF JOB SCAM

Langeberg Municipality urges the public to be aware and vigilant of a job scam. The scammers claim they can secure people permanent employment at Langeberg Municipality in exchange for a payment.

We urge the public to not react to these scam offers of employment from the people claiming to work for, or to be associated with, Langeberg Municipality.

No employee or politician appointed at our municipality is allowed to ask for money in exchange for a job.

Langeberg Municipality only advertises vacancies for job positions or internship programmes in local newspapers, the municipal website and our official social media platforms.

The Robertson South African Police Service (SAPS) is aware and is currently investigating the scam.

People who have already paid money to the scammers are encouraged to report the matter to their nearest police station.
