NEW FLEET FOR LANGEBERG BOOST SERVICE DELIVERY
Langeberg Municipality officially unveiled 43 service delivery vehicles worth R17,8 million as per Tender 44/2022.
These vehicles was strategically assigned to key departments with the aim to enhance the municipality’s efficiency and responsiveness to service delivery challenges.
The Engineering Directorate has acquired 25 vehicles to its fleet, which will be used in the departments of Electricity, Waste, Water and Sanitation, and Civil. This includes tipper trucks, a crane truck, a garbage removal vehicle, a sewerage truck, a forklift, a compactor, a wheel loader, a ride-on roller, and a walk behind roller.
The Traffic Department and Law Enforcement have been equipped with four cars and four bakkies to reinforce a critical need of public safety in the municipality. A 4x4 truck with Fire Accessories and a car were added to the Fire Department's fleet.
Additional 7 vehicles went towards the Community Services Directorate for use by the departments of Community Facilities, Parks and Amenities and Housing.
This is a significant investment toward increasing service delivery and we are confident that each employee will take extra care to maintain the vehicles that will serve our communities for many years to come.
