OFFICE CLOSURE OPERATIONS DURING THE FESTIVE SEASON

The municipal administrative offices, traffic offices and libraries will be closed from 12:45 on Friday, 20 December 2024 and will re-open on Monday, 6 January 2025.

Normal standby, refuse removal and emergency services will still be rendered during this period.

Payment of accounts and purchase of electricity

Outside pay-points will be open for payments of accounts at the following vendors:

• Bonnievale: Usave, Absa Bank, Pep Stores
• Montagu: Spar, Shoprite, Pep Stores, Absa Bank
• Robertson: PnP, Shoprite, Usave, Spar, Checkers, Absa Bank

Waste removal

On the public holidays of December 16 and 26, 2024 refuse collection will continue as normal with waste facilities open from 08:00 – 16:00.

No refuse will be removed on December 25, 2024. This collection will be done on December 26, 2024.

No refuse will be removed on January 1, 2025. This collection will be done on January 2, 2025.

Sewage removal requests will be scheduled to take place on the following days:

• Monday, 23 December 2024
• Tuesday, 24 December 2024
• Friday, 27 December 2024
• Monday, 30 December 2024
• Tuesday, 31 December 2024
• Friday, 3 January 2025

No sewage removal services will be rendered on December 25 and 26, 2024 and January 1 and 2, 2025.

Requests for sewage removal between Christmas and New Year's must please reach us before 11:00 on December 19, 2024. If sewage removal must take place on short notice, then you will be held liable for the account, which will include after-hours fees per load and the cost per kilometre.

Swimming pool

The municipal swimming pool will be open throughout the holidays, but will be closed on December 16, 25, and 26, 2024 and January 1, 2025.

Irrigation water supply

There will be no irrigation water supply in Robertson and McGregor during the week of December 23–27, 2024. Irrigation water supply will resume from Monday, December 30, 2024.

Parks and nature reserves

Montagu's Cogmanskloof, Bloupunt, Badkloof, and Lovers Walk hiking trails will be open, except for public holidays.
Hiking permits can be obtained from the reception office at the start of the trail.
The Akkerbos picnic site is temporarily closed.

The Arangieskop and Dassieshoek hiking routes in Robertson, which include accommodation, are fully booked during the holiday season.
The Parks & Amenities office for general booking requests will be closed from December 20, 2024 until January 5, 2025.

Grave sales

To receive a grave number for burial, the public and funeral directors can make payment to Montagu Absa bank, Langeberg Municipality, Account no: 105 0000008, using the reference "Graves, surname of deceased" and present the proof of payment and burial order/death certificate to the graveyard staff.

Renewal of informal trading licenses.

Bookings for January 2025 should be completed by 15:00 on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Die munisipale swembad sal gedurende die vakansie oop wees, maar sal op 16, 25 en 26 Desember 2024 en 1 Januarie 2025 gesluit wees.

Leiwatervoorsiening

Daar sal geen leiwaterbediening in Robertson en McGregor plaasvind gedurende die week van 23–27 Desember 2024 nie. Leiwaterbediening sal vanaf Maandag, 30 Desember 2024 normaal hervat word.

Parke en natuurreservate

Montagu se Cogmanskloof-, Bloupunt-, Badkloof- en Lovers Walk staproetes sal oop wees, behalwe op openbare vakansiedae.

Stap permitte kan by die ontvangskantoor aan die begin van die roete verkry word.

Die Akkerbos-piekniekplek is tydelik gesluit.

Die Arangieskop- en Dassieshoek staproetes in Robertson, wat verblyf insluit, is reeds vol bespreek gedurende die vakansieseisoen.

Die Parke en Geriewe kantoor vir algemene besprekingsversoeke,  sal vanaf 20 Desember 2024 tot 5 Januarie 2025 gesluit wees.

Grafverkope

Om 'n grafnommer vir  ‘n begrafnis te ontvang, kan die publiek en begrafnisondernemers betalings maak aan Montagu Absa bank, Langeberg Munisipaliteit, Rekening nr: 105 0000008,  verwysing: "Grafte, oorledene se van"  en dan die bewys van betaling en teraardebestelling/doodsertifikaat aan die begraafplaaspersoneel voorsien.
