INCREASED BABOON ACTIVITY IN MONTAGU URBAN AREAS

The Langeberg Municipality has over the past months taken note of increased Baboon activity in Montagu.  The Municipality in co-operation with Montagu Community Police Forum (CPF), is monitoring the situation during the month of September 2023. Langeberg Municipality will soon present a Baboon Management Strategy for approval. In anticipation of the Cape Town Baboon Management Strategy which will be completed by end of September 2023, as the City of Cape Town is also facing increased Baboon activity in urban areas.

Members of the public are most welcome to report any Baboon activity or complaints to the Montagu CPF at 073 007 1162.
